A Basic Guide To Procedures And Product Positioning

Dry CleanAs soon as possible after destocking, remove movable equipment to a hard surface outside the house for cleaning and disinfection. Blow down dust from upper surfaces, remove litter and thoroughly sweep. Where possible remove litter from site in covered loads. |

PRE-WASHApply detergent sanitizer via pressure washer or foaming lance to all surfaces (max. 1,000 psi) |

WashUsing a pressure washer at high pressure (3,000 psi) thoroughly wash all surfaces starting at the highest point and working down. |

Water SystemDrain water system and clean header tank. Fill header tank and add Viru-Gard. After one hour, drain system and fill with clean water. |

DisinfectionApply selected disinfectant with pressure washer at low pressure (500 psi) preferably using a fan nozzle, thoroughly wetting all surfaces. This will require approximately 300 ml of disinfectant solution per square meter |

Set UpSpread new litter and return any removed equipment after cleaning and disinfection. Position and recharge foot dips. |

Foot and Wheel DipsMaintain foot and wheel dips with fresh disinfectant solution twice weekly. |

FoggingOn a regular basis and frequently at times of disease challenge, fog a solution of Viru-Gard over the stock. |

Water SystemAdd Viru-Gard to header tank on a daily basis to achieve a dilution of 1:1000. Discontinue 24 hours before any live vaccination. |
