Gluta-Gard
is broad spectrum and effective against viruses, bacteria, mycoplasma and fungi. It is active in the presence of
organic matter and can be used effectively in both hard and soft water. The special foaming properties of Gluta-Gard
give not only a rapid action, but a longer contact killing time than normal conventional disinfectants. The unique
combination of gluteraldehyde and cocobenzyle dimethyl ammonium chloride works synergistically to achieve the optimum
bio-secure environment. Gluteraldehyde damages the cell wall, inhibits metabolism in bacteria and damages the protein
coat of viruses, while cocobenzyle dimethyl ammonium chloride damages the cell membrane of bacteria and the lipid
envelope of viruses.
Instructions for Use
TERMINAL SURFACE AND EQUIPMENT DISINFECTION: After washing and cleaning thoroughly, apply at the required dilution rate using a pressure washer with a foam lance or other foam generating equipment, covering all surfaces with an even layer of foam. Avoid excess application on vertical surfaces as this will result in downward drift and reduced contact time. Alternatively, use at the required dilution rate with a power washer set at low pressure (500 – 1000 psi) with a wide-angled jet.
Recommended Dilution Rates
Gluta-Gard is active against a wide range of organisms and depending on requirements can be used at dilutions ranging from 1:50 to 1:200
